The inspiration for James Anthony comes from my only sibling my brother. Growing up I always looked up to him because he was the older one. He was 6 years older than me, so in our adolescence I was the annoying little sister to him. As we both grew up and matured we became best friends and thick as thieves. In fact, I would tell him he was my very first friend and very first enemy in life! He was the best brother I could have asked for; always there for me and always looking out for me like a big brother does. He would tell me I was adopted, and that our mom loved him more. He would always remind me that I was an ugly baby and he was the cutest baby ever…which is sadly true.

When he was about 10 years old and I was about 4 years old we came up with the brilliant idea to buy a Dairy Queen when we got older so we could have all the ice cream we wanted. From that point forward we had many business adventure ideas, everything from a water park to a Toys R Us. As time went on and we got older our ideas would change and then change again.

On November 15th, 2016 my life as I knew it changed forever. My brother tragically passed away very suddenly leaving me absolutely devastated. The first 6 month after his death was a blur for me, some days not even getting out of bed. I knew in my heart that my brother did not want me to feel this way but how could I feel any different? My heart was broken. I thought back to our childhood during those first 6 months daily, grasping at any memory that would come to mind about us; all the good times and even the bad times we shared. The Holidays, birthdays, family vacations and spending our summers as kids in Minnesota with our grandparents and extended family. Then I remembered all the family business ideas we had and I thought to myself that is exactly what I was going to do…live out our dream!
